E. WAYNE ROLLINS

Priest in Charge

Immanuel Highlands' Priest in Charge is The Reverend E. Wayne Rollins.  A native of West Virginia,  Fr. Rollins holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from West Virginia State College (now University), and is certified to teach Music K-12. He finished graduate work in Organ Performance at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, New Jersey. He has served as Organist/Choirmaster or Music Director in Presbyterian, United Methodist, Roman Catholic, and Episcopal churches. He lived for a short time near Philadelphia, then in Southern Ohio and West Virginia.

Wayne was ordained a Deacon in The United Methodist Church while attending seminary at The Methodist Theological School of Ohio. He returned to The Episcopal Church, and was ordained Deacon and Priest in 2004 in the Diocese of West Virginia. He went on to serve in the Diocese of Maine, then back in Southern Ohio. Wayne’s last cure was as Interim Rector at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan, close to the heart of the University of Michigan Central Campus.

He is single, with no children and has two brothers—one in West Virginia and the other in Georgia. He is the middle child, and claims all the rights and privileges thereunto appertaining. He likes to cook, read, take walks on quiet trails, and attend musical concerts and theater.

Parish Administrator

Lola comes to us with a wealth of experience in The Episcopal Church, including having been the Director of Public Education and Visitor Services at The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in Manhattan, and most recently in communications at the mission support office of the Episcopal Church in Delaware. Her office hours are Tuesday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

RYAN PRYSLAK

Director of Music

Ryan is a graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, majoring in voice and choral conducting with a minor in church music. Most recently, Ryan served as the Organist and Director of Music at Presbyterian Church of the Covenant since June 2017. During his tenure, Ryan has supervised major restoration to the 1977 Schantz Organ as well as spearheading new Video and Sound projects during COVID which brought worship to the church during quarantine. In 2017, Ryan began the ever popular "Arts at Covenant" Concert Series which completed its sixth season providing accessible performing arts events to the North Wilmington Area. Ryan was the founder and director of The Opus One Vocal Arts, a community based Chamber Choir that performed throughout the area from 2005-2015.  He was also the founder and music director for The Mid Atlantic Chamber Singers.

His teachers include Patrick Evans, Nicole Aldrich (voice); Sharon Parker (piano); David Herman, David Christopher, Matthew Glandorf (organ); Paul Head (choral conducting). Ryan is a full time financial advisor for Citizens Bank and has a strong background in finance and investments from his over 17+ years career in the banking industry.

​Ryan and his lovely wife, Jessica, are parents to two children (Greyson & Addison) and a sheepadoodle named Preston, and reside here in North Wilmingt
on.
