During the month of November we collect personal care items which make up ditty boxes. They are delivered to the Seaman’s Center at Port Wilmington for seamen who arrive on container ships.

Several times each year we collect good used clothing for those in need in our community. Clothes are delivered to the Clothing Bank for distribution.

Immanuel serves lunch to 300 homeless men, women and children once a month to Emmanuel Dining Room.

Epiphany House
Epiphany House is the Friendship House transitional home for women at 722 N. Union Street. Immanuel parishioners volunteer for both dinners and mentoring.
Epiphany House is the Friendship House transitional home for women at 722 N. Union Street. Immanuel parishioners volunteer for both dinners and mentoring.
- Dinner – Volunteers bring dinner and eat with the six women of Epiphany House.
- Mentoring opportunities – Women volunteers join a woman at Epiphany House once a week for six weeks to attend an evening instructional program on financial management or job readiness at Epiphany House. This mentoring is a way of accompanying the woman on her path to independent living. This program is coordinated by Connie Schultz.

Faith Center
FAITH Center is supported by 15 Wilmington faith based organizations to serve people in need with consultations, referrals, and financial assistance. FAITH Center assists with rent, utilities, insurance, and special needs, helping people to avoid homelessness and unemployment. Volunteers are trained to help counsel clients in crisis.
